First:

The academies, centers, foundations or cultural and research organisms, universities as well as other Public and Private Institutions, and those personalities which the Foundation invites, may present formal reasoned proposals for candidates to the Cristóbal Gabarrón Foundation Awards, according to the text of the these Awards. Among their merits, they must have made an outstanding and exemplary contribution as well as a relevant international trajectory in each discipline.

Similarly, the members of each one of the Juries, prior to the establishment of these, may present proposals for candidates to the Awards, as long as another two members of the Jury for that Award give their backing to the candidate proposed.

Proposals received from those who request the Award for themselves or for the organizations they represent will not be valid.

Second:

Proposals for candidates must be presented through the following channels: by electronic mail to premiosfcg@fc-gabarron.es , by registered mail, by courier service, or in the registry of the General Secretariat in the main headquarters of the Foundation in Calle Rastrojo c/v Barbecho, s/n • 47014 Valladolid • Spain.

All proposals for candidates must be formalized by filling in the Official Proposal Form established for this purpose by the FCG, or by sending a letter to the Foundation. Other documents, relevant data about merits and complementary information on the candidate may be enclosed along with other support for the proposal.

The deadline for the presentation of proposal for candidates is June 11, 2008 at 8:00 o’clock p.m., except for those proposals made by the members of the Juries.

Third:

Those proposals which do not fulfill the requirements previously indicated will not be admitted. Requests for the withdrawal or return of proposals or accompanying documents sent to the Foundation will not be attended; nor will the Foundation consider entering into correspondence on any of these questions.

Fourth:

Nine different juries will be established, one for each Award. The jury of each of the awards will be set up with enough time and will be made up of five members named by the Foundation and which will also choose the chairman and secretary of each jury. Among the functions of the Secretary will be to moderate and interpret those disagreements that may arise among members of the jury during the meetings with respect to the clauses set out in the Basis and to take Minutes of meetings. It is the responsibility of the President of the jury to chair the discussion, deliberations and voting that take place during these sessions.

Fifth:

The Juries of the Awards will meet in order to decide on this question in the period between the 14th of June and the 13th of July of 208. The discussion sessions of the Juries for each Award will take place in Valladolid, in the Seat of the FCG or in another venue that it decides on. All named members must attend these sessions.

Sixth:

Each member of the Jury will have one vote which must be given personally by that member in the consultation sessions. The Award will be given to the candidate who receives at least tree fifths of the Jury’s votes.

Seventh:

The FCG Awards must be decided on and the winners notified before August 1, 2008.

Eighth:

The Awards may not be of a posthumous nature, nor may not be awarded to the members of the Patronage of FCG and may only be given to one person, workgroup or institution.

Ninth:

Each Cristóbal Gabarrón Foundation Award will be made up of an 18 karat gold sculpture, original work of the artist Cristóbal Gabarrón, and a medal. The Award may not be shared.

In order to receive the sculpture and a medal, the winner must attend the solemn awards gala, unless unable to do due to bad health or other reasons beyond his control.

Tenth:
